Why We're Building This
It's 11:47 PM and Jim's got seven browser tabs open. Shopify. Google Analytics. Facebook Ads Manager. Klavyio. A spreadsheet that's supposed to tie it all together but mostly just gives him a headache.
Revenue's down 8% this week. But why?
Is it the new creative that launched on Tuesday? The Google Shopping campaign that's been bleeding money? Or maybe it's just November being November? By the time he pieces together the story from five different dashboards, it's midnight, and he still doesn't know what to do tomorrow.
We've both been there. Your writer here is Jim, and I’ve run run ecommerce for years -first for brands doing $2M, then $10M, then more. My co-founder (and the real brains), Glen, is a pioneer in the data/ai space. And we keep seeing the same problem everywhere: ecommerce operators have more data than ever but less clarity than ever.
The Problem Nobody's Really Solving
Here's what running an ecommerce store looks like in 2025:
You've got Shopify telling you one story. Google Analytics telling you another. Facebook swears their ROAS is 4.2x, but somehow the bank account doesn't reflect it. Your attribution is broken. Your metrics don't match. And by the time you've logged into your fifth platform to figure out what's actually happening, you've lost an hour you didn't have.
The tools exist. The data exists. But it's scattered across a dozen platforms, each one showing you 8% of the picture and DETERMINED they are good and the others are evil. And when something goes right or wrong - it’s not obvious why.
You're flying blind at 100mph.
What We're Building
We're building the thing we wish existed when we were in your shoes.
One place. All your data. All of your competitors data (really). Actual clarity.
Not another dashboard that makes you squint at line graphs. Not another tool you have to remember to check. A system that actually watches your store and your competition, connects the dots between your platforms, and tells you what's happening and what to do about it.
Think of it as your co-pilot. It knows when Meta's prospecting is gaining momentum while Google Shopping is quietly bleeding budget. It spots when new customer acquisition is trending down three days before you'd normally notice. It surfaces the opportunities you're missing because you're too busy putting out fires.
No more dashboard hopping. No more guessing. Just clarity.
Why Us, Why Now
We're building this because we're tired of watching decisions being made with one hand tied behind their back. Ecommerce is hard enough without fighting your own tools.
What's Next
We're launching in 2026. Between now and then, we're going to be writing about the problems we're solving, the metrics that actually matter, and what we're learning as we build this thing.
We're going to be honest about the journey. We're going to share what we're building before it's perfect. And we're going to listen - because if you're running an ecommerce store right now, you know things we don't.
This blog is part of that. We'll be breaking down metrics, talking through attribution challenges, and sharing our thinking as we go. If you're an operator who's tired of drowning in dashboards, stick around. We're building this for you.
And if you want to follow along or tell us we're crazy, hit us up. We're just getting started.
